6 Steps to Planning an Epic Holiday Party

Babes! The holidays are here! Let me help you plan the Holiday party your friends and family will all be talking about!

If you know me and my family, you know we throw an EPIC annual holiday party. It is the talk of the town and so much fun. Let me walk you through the steps we take when planning in order to give you some tips and tricks on how to plan your own holiday festivities!

When planning your holiday event, here are the most important things to think through:

#1 – Decide on the Formality Level of the event. Will it be black tie, business casual, come as you are, or a costume party?

#2 – Select a theme! Here are some past themes we have done for holiday parties: 80’s in Aspen, Putin’ on the Ritz, Winter Wonderland, Great Gatsby, Ugly Christmas Sweater, Red Carpet Christmas, Christmas in the Cabin, and even Zombie Christmas!

#3 – Once you have the theme, design the rest of the party around it. Start with the decorations and get a board going on Pinterest to help you get ideas!

#4 –  Next, design the menu to fit the theme. This includes finding the recipe for a specialty cocktail with a creative name, a theme-appropriate desert, and more!

#5 – Decide on a game or activity that will get everyone engaged in the event. For example, a photo booth or casino tables are always a solid bet! Also, don’t forget the prizes! Everyone loves to win something! If it makes sense, have a prize to give out after the activity- it gives people incentive to participate!

#6 – Decide on Entertainment- if your crowd is a dancing crowd, a live band, DJ or even a Spotify playlist is a must to enhance the party vibes!

Ok, babes. It’s your turn! You can do this! I can’t wait to hear about your amazing holiday parties…they’re going to be EPIC!

Andrea and Paul

Babes. This is one of my FAVORITE venues!!

Upon entry to this Arlington Hall wedding, guests were greeted with a glass of champagne and directed to the beautiful ceremony. This clear tent wedding was simply stunning! Rustic furniture with garden-y, loose florals adorned the tent. The statement lighting emulated a starry sky. Fun food stations set this wedding apart, and the guests had a great time dancing and celebrating!!

Anytime a bride chooses Arlington Hall, I know it’s going to be an AMAZING day!

Virginia and Nathan

Dallas, Texas

Shhhhh! What a fun theme for this amazing day…secret society!

SO many details went into planning to make this day special. Guests were greeted at valet by masked entertainers and brought into a world complete with a ceremonial initiation, society pins, secret passwords, and more. Hidden speakeasy bars were all throughout the venue. The French menu was incredible and the art-deco decor stunning!

Mystery and magic ensued on Virginia and Nathan’s perfect day!

Brittany and Dustin

Dallas, Texas

Babes. This was a dreamy wedding I planned for two amazing people- Brittany and Dustin!

Modern and romantic, this Jewish wedding was a beautiful celebration of marriage. This couple’s love emanated from the beautiful ceremony under the chuppah. Lucite and white details like the seating chart wall and the centerpieces gave Union Station a modern and fresh look. The party never stopped as the bride jumped up on stage and performed a surprise song with the band dedicated to her groom! SO FUN!

Until Next Time-
